Beautiful Rural Setting

Get back to nature and enjoy this beautiful country setting.  Five acres of lawn, woods and gardens are yours to enjoy.  Gardens filled with native plants attract a variety of birds and butterflies. Watch deer grazing on the hill and wild turkeys in the yard.  If you enjoy vegetable gardening, there is a large fenced raised bed garden with a garden shed.  Fruit trees and berry bushes abound. Plenty of room for horses, or other animals.  Plenty of riding trails nearby.   A hunters paradise - hunt in your own woods. And fishermen, trout fishing in Muddy Creek is just a short walk downhill from the house.

Muddy Creek Forks

Our house overlooks the National Register of Historic Places listed village of Muddy Creek Forks.  Muddy Creek Forks is a turn of the century rural village that time forgot.  The village buildings have been restored by the Ma and Pa railroad preservation society and appear as they did in the early 1900's. The village is a living history museum and consists of a general store, railroad station, mill and creamery (www.maand parailroad.com).  The village is open to the public for tours and railroad excursions.  The village is named for Muddy Creek, which flows through the village and is a popular trout fishing stream.

Lovingly Restored Queen Anne Victorian Home

This is a picture of our home at the turn of the century.  The house is now surrounded by mature trees and gardens but the house maintains its turn of the century grandeur.  The home has been restored with all the modern day conveniences you need, while maintaining the character of a time gone by.  Beautiful wood work, mantel pieces and pocket doors abound. Gingerbread trim on the wrap around porch evokes Victorian charm.
